You've heard the name "Equitation", but what exactly is it?

Equitation is a combination of correct basic flatwork movements and show jumping, in this discipline the ability of the rider is of paramount importance.

Equitation is a new and exciting discipline to the UK the aim of which is to produce effective and stylish riders that can excel in any discipline, unlike other classes if you ride in an Equitation class it is you who are judged not the horse.

You will receive a paper much like dressage with comments on your riding, so it's a lesson and a competition in one!

Not only do you get your paper but thanks to Equitation's super sponsor Castle horse feeds winners and placing will also receive vouchers for horse feed along with a distinctive rosette.
